Honoured artist of RSFSR (1978), People’s artist of RSFSR (1982). Studied at Yaroslavl Art school till 1941. Active in Yaroslavl. Took part in exhibitions from 1951. During 1958-1961 headed board of Yaroslavl branch of Union of Artists of RSFSR. In 1960-1993 – member of the board of Union of Artists of RSFSR. During 1977-1982 – chairman of the board of Yaroslavl organization of Union of Artists of RSFSR. During 1977-1983 and 1988-1992 – member of the board of Union of Artists of USSR.
