San Francisco based artist, Cathy Locke holds a B.F.A. from Art Center College of Design and a M.F.A. from the Academy of Art University, both with honors. Locke was a professor at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco for over a decade. She has received numerous accolades for her work, which include ones from the Pastel Society of America, Art Directors Club of New York, Society of Illustrators and the Pastel Journal. Locke has shown her fine art paintings in over 100 exhibitions in the last twenty years, winning over fourty awards. Locke's paintings have been featured over ten museum shows, including a special honor where her work was hand selected from the Pastel Society of America's Annual Exhibition to show at the Butler Institute of American Art. Her work was featured in an exhibition at the Morris Graves Museum titled "Motion and Meaning." Locke is a member of the International Realist Guild and Portrait Society of America.
